About Me

Hi. I'm Tim Brock and I run Data to Display.

After growing up on Tyneside (England), I studied physics at the University of Manchester from 2003. Graduating in 2007, I then moved to the University of York to work on a PhD in experimental physics. My research led to me working in a number of small and large collaborations at laboratories in Europe and the USA, writing and assisting with the creation of journal articles and presenting data and results at national and international conferences. I was awarded my PhD in 2012. I started Data to Display in 2013 and am now a resident of Tyneside once more.

As well as an obvious fascination for physics and the effective communication of data, I am always keen to learn more about science in general and am particularly interested in how it, mathematics and statistics are portrayed in the media.
